I have been teaching English for 22 years and am also an oral exmainer for all levels of the Cambridge exams. I have experience of teaching general, academic and business English but also English for medicine/nursing, engineering, computing. I adapt my classes to suit the student's needs whether it is speaking, listening, writing, or grammar and vocabulary. As for my approach to teaching; I see myself as a resource to be used by students to help and encourage their autonomous learning. In addition to textbooks, I like to use a variety of interesting topics and activities that focus on authentic and functional activities with an emphasis on learning to communicate through interaction in the target language so that students are more motivated and engaged and, also, are likely to practice more.
